Celebrating the Feast of St. Hannibal with the Gift of Vocations

On May 31, 2019, in the Eucharistic liturgy, presided over by Fr. Orville Cajigal, RCJ, the Superior of the St. Matthew Province, the Circumscription welcomed 12 postulants as they were admitted to the Novitiate, while 5 novices made their First Profession of the Vows at the chapel of the St. Anthony’s Boys Village in Silang, Cavite.
The following day, June 1, 2019, Fr. Cajigal received the Vows of religious students who renewed their profession, during the celebration of the Holy Mass at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at the Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies in Parañaque City. Parallel rites were held, led by Delegated priests, at the Missionary Stations of Vietnam and Indonesia, at the Sideia Mission Center in Papua New Guinea, at the St. Hannibal Mary Discernment Center in Iloilo, at the St. Hannibal Formation Center in Cebu City and at the St. Anthony’s Boys Village in Davao City. Forty-five (45) religious students of the St. Matthew Province renewed their vows.
Within the same liturgy at the Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies, witnessed by parents, relatives, friends and benefactors, Bro. Chris Melvic Floralde, RCJ and Bro. Val Vincent Frias, RCJ made Perpetual Profession of the Vows. Bro. Frederikus Yorius Ndawi, RCJ and Bro. Yoseph Emanuel Rua, RCJ did the same, in the hands of Fr. Ariel Tecson, Indonesia, while Fr. Ulrich Gacayan, RCJ received the perpetual vows of Bro. Joseph Phung Minh Dang, RCJ and Bro. Paul Tran Duc Chinh, RCJ in Vietnam. In Tarragona, Spain, on the other hand, Fr. Mario Buonanno, RCJ, presided over the Eucharistic liturgy, during which Bro. Francis Ferruci Cayao perpetually offered himself to the Lord of the Harvest.
With the presence of Fr. Florence Isidro Malasig, RCJ, a Filipino confrere assigned in a mission in Columbia, the Province unites itself in prayers with Fr. Ferico Nicolas Duque, RCJ (SMP), Fr. Edwin Manio, RCJ (USA), Fr. Joby Kavunkal, RCJ (STQP), Fr. Shibu Kavunkal (STQP) and Fr. Shajan Pazhayil (STQP), who celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the religious profession.
Praise and thanksgiving for the gift of Vocations, O Lord, and we implore for more!
