Conference of the Superiors of the Circumscriptions and their Councils

Fr. Orville Cajigal, RCJ, the Provincial Superior, with the St. Matthew Provicnial Council, its Secretary and Treasurer, went to Messina, Sicily, Italy to participate in the Conference of the Superiors of the Circumscriptions and their Councils, on October 14-19, 2019. This year’s gathering was held at the Istituto Cristo Re, with the theme “Journeying Together” [‘Arise… because the journey is too great for you.’ (1King 19:7)].
The encounter highlights reports, exchanges of thoughts, sharing of ideas and common discernment and prayers, including a Eucharistic Adoration for Vocation at the Church of San Giovanni in Malta, the very place where St. Hannibal received the charismatic inspiration of the Rogate.
Aside from the assembly, each Council of the Circumscriptions was given the opportunity to meet their counterparts and even General Council.
The encounter concluded with the votive Eucharistic liturgy in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother and Queen of the Rogate, presided over by Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, RCJ, in the crypt of the Santuario di San Antonio, where the incorrupt remains of St. Hannibal Mary di Francia rests.
