Meeting of the Local Superiors of the St. Matthew Province

Fr. Orville Cajigal, RCJ, the Provincial Superior, gathered the local Superiors and Responsible of the communities and missionary stations of the St. Matthew Province, on April 29-30, 2019, at the Oasis of Prayer in Lalaan II, Silang, Cavite, for them to enrich the Strategic Plan, which was initially thought out by the Provincial Council and was framed further under the varied Sectors with the help of its respective Commission members. In this two-day encounter, the 3-Year Plans of each Sectors (Religious Life, Formation and Vocation Ministry, headed by Fr. Ariel Tecson, RCJ; Rogate, chaired by Fr. Ulrich Gacayan, RCJ; Parishes, Laity and Youth Ministry, led by Fr. Alfonso Flores, RCJ; and Service of Charity and Missions, under Fr. Dexter Prudenciano, RCJ) were presented. The plans on the Structure of Government was reported on by Fr. Cajigal, while that of the Sector on the Administration of Goods was delivered by Bro. Nilo Pelobello, RCJ, the Provincial Treasurer. A moment was also allotted for Bro. Christian Allan De Sagun, RCJ to inform the assembly of the plans and tasks of the Provincial Secretary and Archivists. All these strategies, expressed in envisioned activities were systematically calendared for implementation on the level of the circumscription and of the local religious houses. The Superiors and Responsible were also given insights into the document “Practical Guide for the Superior of the Circumscription” and the actual Financial Situation of the Province. In addition, Fr. Jessie Martirizar, RCJ briefly explained the steps in formulating the Community and Personal Live Projects. Finally, while the group evaluated the entire proceedings, which was characterized by common prayers, they signed the Statement of Commitment, assuring the Province of their active support and participation in the accomplishment of its plans.
