RC-P's Celebration of the Solemnity of St. Joseph and Lenten Family Recollection

With the Apostolic Letter “Patris Corde” (“With a Father’s Heart”), Pope Francis recalls the 150th anniversary of the declaration of Saint Joseph as Patron of the Universal Church. To mark the occasion, this past December of 2020, the Holy Father has proclaimed a “Year of Saint Joseph” from December 8, 2020, to December 8, 2021.
Last, March 19, 2021, as we celebrate the Solemnity of St. Joseph, a Eucharistic Celebration in the Rogationist College - Parañaque was presided and commenced by one of the six newly ordained Rogationist Priests, Rev. Fr. Andru Iroy, RCJ, to honor and commemorate the spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the foster-father of Jesus; Saint Joseph — a model of kindness, obedience, faith, humility, patience, service, selflessness, and faithfulness.
The Eucharistic Celebration was followed by a Lenten Family Recollection spearheaded by one of the six newly ordained Rogationist Priests as well, Rev. Fr. John Francis Aberion, RCJ. Overall, it was a successful and nourishing event as it was filled with valuable and meaningful teachings that we all should apply in our lives as we welcome, increase, and multiply the presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ, during this Lenten Season.
Let us ask St. Joseph to intercede for us, to obtain God’s blessing on us as we make our way in life this year. May we also enable our family to be disposed as we continue in our Lenten Journey.
